These pages are an attempt to present to all who may be interested the story of, and especially the results of, the family quilt project that was first proposed by Bob in 2000 and finally brought to fruition in 2003.

Since it is probably inevitable that, no matter where the quilt eventually happens to end up, or in what family attic or museum or other resting place it finally lies or hangs, in another generation few will have the opportunity to see it or perhaps even be aware of it.

Therefore we present the quilt here on these Web pages (if indeed they survive!) for all posterity to see, with the story of the quilt's genesis by Bob, pictures of its gradual development and final sewing, and pictures and descriptions of the various blocks. Next best, we hope, to the real thing.
